Jefferson took the lead back in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single from Sam Gomez, but the Eagles were able to hold off any more runs that inning as the Rams left the bases loaded. However, in the bottom of the sixth with a runner on first and two outs, the Rams had three run-scoring hits. Post got was able to get one run in the top of the sixth on an RBI single from Rigano to make it a 2-1 game. Post threatened to score more as they had the bases loaded with just one out, but were unable to get another run across.

Jefferson wasted little time in the bottom of the inning to tie and take the lead Julia Heine doubled to lead off the inning and was driven in by Annabella Zito to tie the game, 2-2. The next batter, Annalise Pudimott pinch hit and hit an RBI single to give the Rams the lead. They'd add two more runs on a two-run double to make it a 5-2 game.
