Rochester, N.Y. – The Post University women's lacrosse team lost an 18-3 match to Roberts Wesleyan in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles are now 3-10 on the season, while Roberts Wesleyan moves to 8-5.
The Redhawks scored the first six goals of the game – two from Alexis Grant - including five in the first period before the Eagles got on the board on a goal at the 12:25 mark of the second after a turnover.
However, Grant scored three more times in the second quarter and the Redhawks led 11-1 at halftime. Roberts Wesleyan led by as much as 15-1 in the third before
Gabrielle Fiora scored on a pass from
Cara DiStefano in the third.
Cassiliano added one more goal in the fourth for the Eagles.
The combination of
Christina Badaracco and
Lauren Bain combined for 13 saves for Post.
DiStefano had four of the eight draw controls for the Eagles.
Samantha Targonski and
Leeana Grandel each had two ground balls.
Grant finished with five goals for Roberts Wesleyan.
