Lakewood, N.J. - The Post University women's lacrosse team lost a 17-7 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to Georgian Court on Tuesday afternoon.

Post is now 3-9 overall and 2-5 in the CACC. The Lions are 7-6 and 6-1, respectively.

The Lions struck first, including a goal by Alyssa Wahl just 31 seconds in, to give them a 2-0 lead.

Post bounced back with the next two, as Cara DiStefano and Gabrielle Fiora scored to tie the game at 9:57.

Georgian Court scored the next three, including Wahl's second of the game. Katie Clemente's two goals put the Lions up 5-2. Athlyn Wood and Morgan Cassiliano would score the final two goals for the Eagles, as the Lions led 6-4 heading into the second.

The Lions took control in the second as they didn't allow any goals in the next two quarters while Riley'O'Connor scored four times during that span. The Lions led 14-4 into the fourth.

Post scored three times in the fourth on two goals from Cassiliano and one from Molly Dobratz, but they would not threaten the rest of the way.

The Eagles were 17-for-22 on clears, while Georgian Court was 14-for-15.

Post had ten groundballs on the day, as Christina Badaracco led with three to go with 13 saves in net.
