Baseball Wins Sixth Straight, Sweeps Dominican And Remain Unbeaten In CACC

Waterbury, CT – The Post University baseball team won its sixth straight game and remain undefeated in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating Dominican, 11-2 and 13-3 at Municipal Stadium on Friday afternoon.

Matt Goehrig followed with a sacrifice fly to make it a 3-0 game. In the fifth, Caron and Gill both had RBI singles to score Shane Lindemuth and Michael Pavelchak, who both singled in the inning to go up, 5-0.

The Chargers got two back in the top of the seventh, but the Eagles shut the door on any chance of a comeback, scoring four in the bottom of the seventh as Brennan hit a bases clearing double to put the Eagles up 8-2. Goehrig followed with an RBI double to put the Eagles up, 9-2.
