Manchester, N.H. - The Post University women's hockey team lost a 10-0 game to Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon in New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) action, as the Eagles closed out the regular season.
Post finished the regular season 4-27-2 overall and 4-19-2 in NEWHA. Saint Anselm finished 15-15-4 overall and 14-6-4 in NEWHA.
The Eagles will be the sixth seed in the upcoming NEWHA tournament where they will play at No. 3 Stonehill in a Best of 3 series, beginning Feb. 24 at 5 p.m.
Saint Anselm scored three times in the first, including two from Brooklyn Pancoast to take a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period.Pancoast added a third goal in the second on a power play and the Hawks went up 6-0 after two periods.
The Hawks scored four more in the final period.
Grace Glasrud, Hali Lawrence and
Hannah Saunders each spent a period in net, combining for 46 saves on the day.
Madeleine Noonan went 11-8 in faceoffs, while
Tristan Currie went 9-9.
Jenna Abeyta led the Eagles with four shots.
Allie Kelley finished with 21 saves for the Hawks.
