Baseball Swept By SNHU

Waterbury, CT - The Post University baseball team was swept, 9-1 and 9-0 against Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) on Saturday afternoon at Municipal Stadium.

Post is no2 3-4 overall and SNHU moves to 3-0.

In game one, the two teams were scoreless through three behind Justin Portes of Post and Jeffrey Prml of SNHU.

However, the Penmen got on the board in the top of the fourth with three runs, including an RBI single from Jake Pisano to plate the first run of the game. SNHU extended its lead to 7-0 after four runs in the fifth. Pisano again came up with runners on base in the inning and drove in two more.

Praml earned the win, striking out five and giving up no runs in five innings.

In game two, the Penmen jumped out to a 3-0 lead, highlighted by an error that led to two of the runs. The Penmen scored two more in the third and three in the seventh, including one run on an RBI single from Kieran Dowd.

Post did not get a hit until the fourth inning and had just three in the game.
