Manchester, N.H. - The Post University women's hockey team lost a 7-1 New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) game to Saint Anselm on Friday evening.
Post is now 4-26-2 overall and 4-18-1 in NEWHA. The Hawks are now 14-15-4 overall and 13-6-4 in the conference.
After Natalie Tulchinsky scored two goals for the Hawks to begin the game,
Sheridan Terrazzano got the Eagles on the board at the 14:21 mark with her eighth goal of the season. During the goal, a shot from
Cassidy Elvidge near the blue line was deflected by
Kiersten Browning. The puck was stopped by Saint Anselm goaltender, Allie Kelley, but Terrazzano was there to backhand it in to make it a 2-1 game.
Saint Anselm took that lead into the first intermission and for over the first half of the second until Audrey Jackson scored for the Hawks at 10:38. They'd tack on two more goals in the period, including the first of two from Tyra Turner. In the third, Tulchinsky added a third goal 2:50 in for a hat trick. Turner scored her second goal at 17:59.
In net,
Grace Glasrud stopped 25 shots in two periods.
Hannah Saunders started the third, stopping 11.
Kelley stopped 16 shots for the Hawks.
The two teams meet again at Saint Anselm as the Eagles wrap up their regular season with a 3 p.m. puck drop.
