Women's Hockey Shutout By Franklin Pierce

Shelton, CT - The Post University women's hockey team lost an 8-0 game to Franklin Pierce University in New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) action.

Post is now 4-25-2 overall and 4-17-1 in NEWHA. The Ravens are now 14-13-3 overall and 11-8-3 in NEWHA.

Hali Lawrence had 31 saves in two periods of action, while Grace Glasrud had nine.

The Ravens scored three goals in both the first and second, with their first goal coming 12 seconds in from Jenna Ruiz, who scored two on the day. Mikayla Kelley scored twice for the Ravens and added an assist. Stefanie Caban had a goal and an assist for FPU.

The Eagles had 19 shots on the day, led by Kiersten Browning with four. Three others had two.

Tymmarie Grom led the Eagles with seven faceoff wins.

Post wraps up its regular season next weekend at Saint Anselm where they will take on the Hawks on Feb. 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
