SHELTON, Conn. – Looking to bring their losing streak to a close, Post University Women's Ice Hockey dropped the puck for the first time since November 18th at home in a New England Hockey Alliance matchup with the conference's top team in LIU on Friday afternoon. Two early goals by the Sharks would be more than enough as junior goalie Tindra Holm pitched a shutout en route to the Sharks' 11th straight victory and led them to an 11-0-0 start in conference play as the Eagles fell 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Less than two minutes into the contest, freshman forward Grace Babington would net a goal for the Sharks after the initial shot from junior forward Jeannie Wallner was saved by senior goalie
Grace Glasrud. The deflection would to the stick of senior forward Ashley Morrow who found Babington behind her with a clear shot into the right side of the goal mouth for a quick 1-0 lead.
Just over a minute later, LIU added to their lead with a goal from junior forward Journey Miller on a puck jammed in the corner. Sophomore forward Milana Butera would dig the puck out and find Miller sliding from right to left across the goal, beating Glasrud for the second goal of the affair. The Sharks would hold that 2-0 lead at the end of one with Holm making eight saves while Glasrud stopped 12 pucks.
The Sharks would find the back of the net twice more in the second period first with a puck dug out in the corner of the Eagles' offensive end by Miller who hit sophomore forward Anya Weilandt with a cross ice pass. Weilandt would enter the Post zone on the left side with space and hit the top right corner for the third goal of the afternoon.
Miller would then assist Babington on her second goal of the afternoon on the power play goal after senior forward Sarah Rourke wheeled the puck around the net to her. Miller located Babington for the quick strike and score, giving LIU the 4-0 lead heading into the third.
Almost midway through the third, Post would have an opportunity to get themselves on the scoreboard as back-to-back penalties less than two minutes apart put the Eagles on a brief 5-on-3 power play, but they would only manufacture one shot against Holm which would be corralled. Post would be held in check the rest of the way as their losing streak extended to seven consecutive games with a 4-0 loss to the Sharks.
