MANCHESTER, N.H. – In search of their first Northeast-10 Conference victory of the season, Post University Men's Ice Hockey closed out their two-game road trip to Saint Anselm College on Saturday afternoon, making another come-from-behind effort before four third period goals from the Hawks spurred them to a 6-3 victory over the Eagles.

Saint Anselm College (1-3-1, 1-0-1 NE10)
HOW IT HAPPENED
A strong start for the Hawks saw them take a 2-0 lead over the Eagles after one period as junior forward Max Burum blew through the middle of the Post defense after getting passes from sophomore defenseman Alex Hoitt and junior defenseman Luke Mix on the defensive end. Burum would beat junior goalie
Zach Richards on the top right corner of the net just 1:40 into the game.
Senior forward Tommy Schwartz would add the second goal of the game against Richards only three minutes later when junior forward Chase Reynolds hit him with a pass from the left shot for the quick fire into the right side of the net as the Hawks took a 2-0 lead into the second period.
After starting the year 1-for-15 on the power play, Post would get two power play goals in the latter half of the second period to knot the score up at two all heading into the third. The first would come from sophomore forward
Conner Murray after the initial shot by sophomore forward
Jake Aloi was stopped by freshman goalie Cam Carroll.
Two minutes after that, the Eagles would get the tying goal from sophomore defender
Ryan Cardow after getting two passes wheeled to him from Murray and graduate forward
Jack Engdahl. Cardow's shot would go through the screen in front of Carroll giving Post the equalizer with 2:16 left in the second.
The second goal of the afternoon for Burum and a shorthanded goal for senior forward Liam Lyons would give the Hawks full control of the contest in the third with 4:22 left in regulation. Senior forward
Connor Barter would get one back for Post only 18 seconds after that on the power play, but the comeback bid would fall short with the empty net goal for junior defenseman Mark Blaney making it 5-3 in favor of Saint Anselm who would take the two points and the victory, 6-3, after a goal in the final minute by senior forward Alec Grace.
