HOW IT HAPPENED
Eagles' leading goal scoring sophomore forward Aritz Uriate continues to dominate the pitch for Post University, tacking on two more goals in the victory for a team-leading six goals on the year. But it would be an own goal that got Post on the board less than two minutes into the first half as a corner kick from graduate midfielder Andrea Berti caromed off the foot of a Bears' player in front before going by senior goalkeeper Jomar Vizcaino to give the Eagles the lead, 1-0.
From there it would be all Uriate as the sophomore would tally his first goal of the evening just under 10 minutes later in the 12th minute on a pass from senior midfielder Pablo Tenorio in a first half that saw the Eagles outshoot Bloomfield, 12-2 overall, and 10-2 in shots on goal as Vizcaino would make eight saves while junior goalkeeper Soren Jensen would get just one.
In the second half, Jensen would be lifted for junior goalkeeper Rodrigo de la Terga who saw his first collegiate action as an Eagle for the final 45 minutes of play without needing to make a single save. Overall during de la Terga's time on the pitch, Post would outshoot Bloomfield, 11-1 and 10-0 in shots on goal, while Urate would add his second goal of the match in the 53rd minute from sophomore forward Manuel Rilova and junior defender Omar Florindo en route to Post's 3-0 road victory.
