Shelton, CT - The Post University women's hockey team lost a 4-0 New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) game to Long Island University on the backend of the home and home series between the teams.
Post is now 3-20-1 on the season and 3-12-1 in NEWHA. LIU is now 14-10-2 overall and 13-1-2 in the conference.
Hannah Saunders finished with 28 saves in net for the Eagles.
The Sharks got on the board at the 15:26 mark of the first on a power play goal from Megan Bouveur, her fourth of the weekend. Abby Latorella scored one in the second and Paula Bergstrom and Mikayla Lantto each scored in the third.Â
The Eagles had 19 shots on the day, with
Jenna Abeyta leading the way with five.
Sajel Desai had four.
Madeleine Noonan and
Tristan Currie led the Eagles with eight faceoff wins.
Anne Abramson had 19 saves in net for the Sharks.
Up next, the Eagles head to Sacred Heart to take on the Pioneers on January 20 at 2 p.m.
