South Burlington, VT - The Post University men's hockey team lost a 4-1 Northeast-10 (NE10) game to Saint Michael's on Saturday evening.

With the loss, the Eagles are now 4-13 overall and 2-8 in the NE10. The Purple Knights are now 6-8-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the conference.

The Purple Knights scored twice in the first on goals from Jeremy Routh and Zach Taylor.

The Eagles got one back at the 8:03 mark in the second period as Patrick Murphy scored on a power play after Nick Weber rebounded his blocked shot and then passed it off to Murphy who pushed the puck past Saint Michael's goaltender, Marshall Murphy to cut their deficit in half.

Saint Michael's scored just 2:18 later on a goal from Case Kantigas and added one more in the third from Quinn McCarthy who also had two assists on the day.

Benjamin Cunneen had 26 saves. The Eagles outshot the Purple Knights, 35-30 with Niko Grollman leading the way with six. Murphy had five.

Up next, the Eagles will host Southern New Hampshire in a weekend series on January 20-21 at 8 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
