South Burlington, VT. - The Post University men's hockey team lost a 6-3 game to Saint Michael's in a Northeast-10 (NE10) contest on Friday evening.
With the loss, the Eagles are now 4-12 overall and 2-7 in the NE10. The Purple Knights are 5-8-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the NE10.
The Eagles struck first as
Nick Weber scored his seventh goal of the season when he stuffed in a rebound from a point blank shot from Trey DeLoury to give the Eagles the 1-0 lead.
Jack Engdahl was also credited with an assist.
Saint Michael's scored with under two minutes remaining in the first period and scored two goals just nine seconds apart from Brennan McFarland and Jack Macdonald in the second to take a 3-1 lead.Â
At the 9:00 mark of the second,
Niko Grollman scored his sixth goal of the season on a power play as he redirected a shot from DeLoury after a pass from
Brandon Crowther to make it a 3-2 game.Â

Crowther scored his second goal in as many games on a 2-on-1 as
Connor Barter fed him for a one-timer that he ripped to a wide open right side of the net to make it a 5-3 game. It'd be the last goal for the Eagles as Saint Michael's would add a goal from Jeremy Routh at the 13:39 mark.
