Berti's Goal Lifts Men's Soccer Over SNHU

Waterbury, Conn. - Andrea Berti scored his first goal of the season as the Post University men's soccer team took down Southern New Hampshire University, 1-0 in a non-conference game at LaMoy Field.

The Eagles, ranked tenth in the East Region, are now 2-2 on the season. The Penmen - ranked fifth in the region - are now 2-1.

Berti's goal came in the 40th minute on a pass from Angel Morales after the two teams had difficulties getting quality shots off in the first half.

In the second half, the Penmen threatened in the final minute, and had a goal waved off with 22 seconds left after a foul inside of the 18-yard box.

David Mollenthiel earned his second shutout of the season and 12th of his career. He finished with three saves on the day.

Up next, the Eagles open up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play with a match against Holy Family at 2:30 p.m. on September 10.
