"We knew tonight was going to be difficult playing a very talented veteran Franklin Pierce team," head coach
Ted Haley said. "They are one of the best teams in the country and we played very well. The penalty that we earned but was not called could have changed the game and would have made it 1-1 but we know it is always difficult on the road and we have to do more. I am very proud of this young group as we are becoming a stronger team through these invaluable lessons."
Up next, the Eagles host Southern New Hampshire University in their home opener on September 7 at 2 p.m. at LaMoy Field.
