Box Score Wilmington, De. – The Post University women's soccer team tied a program record with its sixth straight win, defeating Wilmington, 3-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) road game.

Once again, the hero of the day was Hailey McGee, scoring two goals for the fourth time this season, including the game winner in the 67th minute. She now has five game-winning goals on the season.

With the game tied, 2-2, Amata Valentini, who was all alone on the right side of the 18-yard box, sent in a cross to McGee, who settled the ball down on the first touch and struck it near the six yard marker past Wilmington goalkeeper Nio Nakajima for her tenth goal of the season, which leads the CACC.

It was the second straight game McGee scored the game winner. On September 22, she scored the game winning goal with six seconds remaining in a 2-1 win over Bloomfield.

Wilmington (2-5-2, 1-2-1 CACC) got on the board first in in the ninth minute on a goal from Emilie Larsen.

The Eagles (6-4, 4-0 CACC) tied the game just 13 minutes later when Katharina Kuhne bent an improbable corner kick into the net for her second goal of the season.

The two teams were tied going into the half, but it didn't last long as McGee would score her first goal of the game just 27 seconds left as Valentini chipped a pass to Kuhne who headed the ball down perfectly to McGee who beat her defender for a one-on-one shot at the net to make it a 2-1 game.

Wilmington tied the game on the second goal of the day by Larsen in the 53rd minute before McGee's heroics 14 minutes later.

The six wins in a row for the Eagles ties them with the 2019 team who accomplished the same feat.

Imelda Lazaro had three saves in net for the Eagles.

The Eagles look to set a program record as they go for their seventh straight win as they host Felician at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27th.
