Hailey McGee Scores With Six Seconds Left To Send Women's Soccer To Fifth Straight Win

Waterbury, Conn. - Hailey McGee scored two goals, including the game winner with six seconds left as the Post University women's soccer team defeated Bloomfield, 2-1 at LaMoy Field in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game.

McGee's late goal, came after a throw-in from Alyssa Hebb into the 18 yard box, a battle for the ball ensued and Zoe Mier got the ball to McGee who headed it in for her seventh goal of the season and second of the game.

McGee scored her first goal of the game in the 27th minute to put the Eagles up at halftime, 1-0. It was her second penalty kick goal of the season.

The two teams remained scoreless for almost 40 minutes in the second half before Bloomfield's Alyssa Schobel headed in a goal to make it a 1-1 game at the time.

Post outshot Bloomfield, 8-2 on the day, with McGee leading the way with five. McGee now has eight goals on the season, 

The Eagles look to keep their winning streak alive as they take on Wilmington on Saturday at 1 p.m.
