Waltham, Ma. – The Post University football team lost a 49-6 game to Bentley on Friday evening on the road.
Trailing 28-0 after the first quarter, the Eagles got on the board in the second quarter on a four yard touchdown pass from Broghean McGovern to Robert Oliverio to make it a 28-6 game. The Eagles held the Falcons scoreless in the second quarter.
Bentley scored two more touchdowns in the third and one more in the fourth.
McGovern finished the day 12-for-22 for 83 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Sentell was 8-for-10 for 71 yards.
Jermaine Tillery had four receptions to lead the Eagles for 47 yards, while Mekhi Henderson had two catches for 36 yards.
Talik Birton, for the second time this season led the Eagles in tackles with 12, while Kaschin Edwards had four tackles, including a sack, a forced fumble and an interception on the day.
For Bentley, Mark Waid was 11-for-14 for 249 yards and two TDs and an interception. Nate Larkins caught 12 passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns.
The Eagles had 154 yards of offense, including ten first downs.
