Philadelphia, Pa. – The Post University women's volleyball team lost 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 26-28) to Chestnut Hill on Thursday evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match.

The Eagles are now 3-8 on the year and 1-2 in the CACC. Chestnut Hill is now 4-8 overall and 2-1 in the CACC.

The Griffins took the first set after jumping out to a 4-0 lead before the Eagles responded with three straight kills; two of them from Lydimar Soto. Chestnut Hill once again took a 14-9 lead before the Eagles took seven of the next eight points for a 16-15 lead. Chestnut Hill took a 21-17 lead and the Eagles scored five straight with kills from Amaya Nsubuga and Madelynn Boop. However the Griffins scored the final four points to take a 1-0 match lead.

Set two saw the Eagles score six straight points to take an 8-6 lead early on and held the lead until a 6-1 run put the Griffins up 17-14. With the Griffins up 21-20, the scored the final four points to take the 2-0 lead.

Post took a 5-1 lead to start the third set before the Griffins went on an 11-5 run to go up 12-10. Kills from Keyah Sinclair, Soto and Aniya Goodman put Post back up 14-12. The Eagles fell back behind 24-21 and staved off three straight match points on kills by Soto and Sinclair. The two teams tied at 25-25 and 26-26, but the Griffins scored the final two points to take the match.

Soto had nine kills, while Boop had eight. Maria Fernanda Branco had 23 assists and ten digs, both to lead the Eagles.

Henielys Ramos had 17 kills to lead all players for the Griffins.
