Post University Hires John Boisette As Track and Field And Cross Country Head Coach

Waterbury, Conn. – Post University is excited to announce the hiring of John Boisette as its new men's and women's Track and Field and Cross Country Head Coach.
 
Boisette most recently comes from Lees-McRae College in North Carolina where he was the Associate Head Coach for its Men's and Women's Track and Field team during the 2021 season. While there, Boisette's student-athletes set 20 school records, had an indoor-All-American in the 400m, six national qualifiers and fundraised $15,000 for the team. He was also responsible for implementing a budget, manage and allocate athletic scholarships, among other duties.
 
Prior to Lees-McRae, Boisette spent two seasons at Utica College where his student-athletes broke ten school records, had six national qualifiers. He also developed and implemented programs for sprints, jumps, hurdles and cross country and planned and organized individual and team practices. Boisette also was the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as well as assisted in designing a new outdoor track facility for the school.
 
Boisette began his career at Regis College from 2017-2019 as an assistant coach where he specialized in sprints, jumps, hurdles and cross country and lead the strength and conditioning program. At Regis, Boisette established 48 school records, had the school's first NCAA Championship qualifier in the Long Jump and earned Coaching Staff of the Year distinction.
 
Boisette holds many certifications, including ALTIS Education in javelin, hammer throw, shot put and discus. He also has a Level I USA Track and Field Coaching Certificate, a Level 2 certificate in sprints, hurdles and relays and a United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association Strength and Conditioning Certificate.
 
During his collegiate track and field career at Eastern Connecticut State University, Boisette earned All-ECAC honors in the indoor 4x200m relay and an All-Little East Conference selection in the 200m and 4x200mx relay. He was also an All-New England selection in the 4x100m track meet. In his outdoor track and field career, he was an All-New England selection in the 200m and 100m, and was All-LEC in the 100m.
 
A Connecticut native, Boisette earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Eastern Connecticut State University in Physical Education in 2017 and earned his Master of Science in Health Administration from Regis College in 2019.
