Spencer Named ECC Men’s Track Athlete Of The Week

New Haven, Conn.– Freshman Antonio Spencer was named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week after setting a school record and qualifying nationally for the 60m dash at the Art Kadish Elm City Challenge hosted by Southern Connecticut State University on Sunday.

Spencer, posted a time of 6.36 in the 55m dash, which would convert to a 6.84 in the 60m. The time ranks him 13th in the country. He is the first athlete in Post University history to hit a qualifying mark for Track and Field nationals.

Spencer also was a part of the 4x400m team that finished in second place with a time of 3:37.67. He was part of a team with Zenron Chance, Kailon Kirby and Godwyn Roban.

Letlhogonolo Ramafuthula finished third in the triple jump with a jump of 13.88 meters. He was named to the weekly ECC Honor Roll.

Making the weekly honor roll for the women's team was Cecilia Spoldi who won the 400m dash with a time of 58.59 (converted to 57.83), which ranks her 15th nationally. She also finished second in the 200m dash with a time of 26.51.
