Olah Sets RBI Mark, But Baseball Loses In CACC Play

Palisades Park, N.J. – The Post University baseball team lost a 7-6 game in ten innings to Felician in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play on Thursday afternoon.

Post is now 16-22 overall and 11-5 in the CACC, and still sits in first in the North Division. Felician is 16-17 and 9-6 in the CACC.

Robert Olah set the school's record for RBI in a season in the first inning, with a single to drive in Hunter Keller, giving Post the 1-0 lead. Olah now has 52 RBI on the season, breaking Rosario Missiti's single season record of 51 in 2019.

With Post trailing 3-1 in the top of the third, Jordan Glazer hit an RBI single, making it a 3-2 game.

Felician scored a run in the third and fourth, taking a 5-2 lead, but Jimmy Brennan would tie the game with a three-run homer, his fifth of the season.

Brennan gave the Eagles a 6-5 lead with a sacrifice fly in the following inning.

However, the Golden Falcons scored a run in the bottom of the ninth on an error, tying the game at 6-6. Felician would win the game in the bottom of the tenth, on an RBI single from Edwin Tavarez.

Brennan finished the game 1-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Olah was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

The Eagles pitching staff struck out six, led by starter Chas Cywin, who struck out three in 5.2 innings.

Up next, the Eagles head to Wilmington to take on the Wildcats in a doubleheader at noon on April 23.
