Men's Lacrosse Drops Home CACC Game

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University men's lacrosse team lost a 13-7 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to Chestnut Hill on Sunday afternoon at LaMoy Field.

With the loss, the Eagles are now 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the CACC.

The Griffins held the Eagles scoreless in the first quarter, taking a 4-0 lead before Post got on the board at the 9:44 mark of the second on a goal from Dylan Heald. Heald would score another goal in the quarter as the Griffins took an 8-2 lead into halftime.

Both teams split the six goals scored in the third as Braedan Lockyer scored twice along with a goal from Robbie McGrayne.

McGrayne scored his second goal of the game in the fourth along with a goal from Nick Meier, but the Eagles never got  closer than five goals the rest of the way.

Lockyer also added an assist on the day. Brendan Kelleher had two assists.

In net, John Carr had 13 saves for the Eagles.

Ben Revak led the Griffins (7-5, 3-0 CACC) with five goals. Austin Jones had 20 saves for Chestnut Hill.

Up next, the Eagles play at Southern New Hampshire on April 15 at 4 p.m.
