Albany, N.Y. - The Post University men's lacrosse lost a 13-7 game to Saint Rose on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Braedan Lockyer led the Eagles with three goals for his first career hat trick.
After falling behind 2-0 early in the first 2:28, Post scored back-to-back goals from
Brendan Kelleher and
Nick Meier to tie the game at 2-2 at the 10:31 mark.Â
Again, the Golden Knights would score the next two before
Nick Meier added his second goal with the Eagles up a man to make it a 4-3 game at 2:40. Saint Rose would score two in the final minute to take a 6-3 lead after the first quarter.
Robbie McGrayne got the scoring going for the Eagles in the second quarter scoring at 13:24, but the Golden Knights scored two straight before Lockyer scored his first of the game at 3:34 and Saint Rose went into the half leading 8-5.
Lockyer added two more goals in the second half.
In net,
Russell Robinson had 17 saves for the Eagles.
Gabriel Nish had a hat trick to lead Saint Rose. John Loughlin and Eddie Baker each scored two.
