Men’s Lacrosse Has Tough Fourth Quarter In Loss To Felician

Rutherford, N.J. – Three Post University men's lacrosse players scored a pair of goals, but the Eagles lost, 13-8 to Felician in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles (3-4, 1-1 CACC) were down 1-0 after the first before scoring the next three in the second quarter, two from Braedan Lockyer and one from Nick Meier to give the Eagles the 3-1 lead at the 8:20 mark.

It was the beginning of four runs between the team as the Golden Falcons scored the next four, including the first goal in the third to take a 5-3 lead.

Justin Nogueira kicked off the next scoring run for the Eagles scoring two straight during a 4-0 run for the Eagles to close out the third giving the Eagles a 7-5 lead.

However, the Golden Falcons scored the first eight goals of the fourth to take a 13-7 lead while Meier closed out the game with his second goal of the game.

Along with his two goals, Lockyer had two assists and Nogueira had an assist to go with his goals.

Nine different players scored for Felician (5-3, 1-0), including Luke Dayton and Robert Grasso, who had three.

Russell Robinson had 13 saves in net for the Eagles.

Up next, the Eagles head to Caldwell to take on the Cougars at 2:30 p.m. on April 2.
