New Haven, Conn. - The Post University women's lacrosse team lost a 14-4 non-conference game to Southern Connecticut State University on Wednesday evening.
Morgan Cassiliano led the way with three goals for the Eagles. She has now scored three or more goals in each game this season and has 12 goals so far.
After conceding the first goal of the game, Post tied the game on a goal from
Kate Clemente, her first, to make it a 1-1 score at the 11:05 mark.
The Owls scored the next two goals before the Cassiliano scored her first of the game at the 5:10 mark. She added her second one at the 11:55 mark of the second to make it a 4-3 game. The Owls led 6-3 at the break.
Post would get just one goal in the second half as Cassiliano scored with 25 seconds remaining in the third to make it a 9-4 game.
Christina Badaracco had 15 saves on the day.
The Eagles were shutout in the fourth quarter. Karlie Rowe, Bayleigh Tackas and Brianna Shaw each had hat tricks for the Owls (1-1).
