Winter Haven, FL - The Post University softball team dropped a pair of games to Lock Haven University and Minot State University on Monday afternoon. Lock Haven won the first game, 12-1 and Minot State took the second game, 9-1.
Post is now 2-2 on the season
In game one, Lock Haven scored eight runs in the first, including three home runs. Haley Lestician hit a grand slam.
The Bald Eagles scored four more in the second.
Post's lone run of the game came on a solo home run by
Caitlin DeAngelis in the top of the third, her first of the season. She finished the game 3-for-3.
Kasey Jusino was 2-for-3 on the day.
Against Minot State, the Eagles fell behind 3-0 after the first and wouldn't score until the bottom of the sixth on an RBI groundout from
Lily Tomasiello to make ti a 9-1 game at the time. The Eagles had runners on second and third, threatening to score more but were unable to convert.
DeAngelis was 1-for-1 with two walks.Â
Brooklyn Morrison was 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs for the Beavers.
Up next, the Eagles take on Hillsdale at 2:30 p.m. and Shepherd at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday in Winter Haven, FL.
