Waterbury, Conn. - Braedan Lockyer had his second hat trick of the season, but the Post University men's lacrosse team lost a 15-6 game to Franklin Pierce University (FPU) on Friday afternoon in a non-conference match.
Lockyer opened up the scoring in the first minute, scoring just 34 seconds into the game to give Post a 1-0 lead.
The Ravens scored six of the next seven goals, with
Dylan Heald putting one in for Post as FPU led 6-2 midway through the second quarter.
Nick Meier would add two goals in the final 5:21 of the quarter as the Ravens took a 9-4 lead into the break.
The Ravens scored four in the third quarter to take a 13-4 lead. Post tacked on two in the fourth, both from Lockyer.
The Eagles move to 1-3 while FPU moves to 2-0. Three Eagles goalies combined for 24 saves on the day, with
John Carr leading the way with 14.
Stephen Eli had four goals for the Ravens. Josh Dorr and Nathaniel Giardini each had three goals and two assists for FPU.
Up next, the Eagles head to American International College to take on the Yellow Jackets in a non-conference game on March 16 at 4:30 p.m.
