Brookville, N.Y. - The Post University women's hockey team lost an 8-0 New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) game to Long Island University Sharks (LIU) on Friday evening.

It was the final regular season road game for the Eagles who are 6-24-0 overall and 3-16-0 in NEWHA. The Sharks are now 16-14-3 overall and 14-3-2 in NEWHA.

The Sharks scored four goals in the first, three in the second and one in the third. Megan Bouveir and Carrigan Umpherville each scored a pair of goals and had a pair of assists for the Sharks.

The Eagles had 21 shots on goal, lef by Jenna Abeyta with six.

Kaitlyn Daly had 51 saves for the Eagles, including 20 in both the second and third periods.

The two teams meet again in the Eagles' final regular season game of the season at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, February 26 at 2:15 p.m.
