Proulx Scores, But Women’s Hockey Loses To Franklin Pierce

Winchendon, Mass. – The Post University women's hockey team lost a 4-1 New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) game on Saturday evening.

Catherine Proulx scored the lone goal for the Eagles on a power play. With the Eagles trailing 3-0 in the third period, Proulx was a recipient of a backhanded pass from Jade Giesbrecht and ripped a shot home at the 7:50 mark to make it a 3-1 game.

It was Proulx's third goal of the season.

The Ravens scored one goal in the first on a goal from Becca Kniss, her first of two. The Ravens scored two times in the third before the Eagles' goal. They tacked on one more at the 10:44 mark.

Lexi Levy had a career-high 60 saves, including 24 in a scoreless second period.

Up next, the Eagles head to Saint Michael's on Feb. 18 and 19 for a road weekend trip.
