Five Score In Double-Figures As Men's Basketball Gets First CACC Win Over Alliance

Waterbury, CT - The Post University men's basketball team had five players score in double-figures in a 68-47 win over Alliance on Tuesday evening at the Drubner Center in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game.

The win was the first CACC win of the season, moving the Eagles to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the CACC. Alliance is now 4-7 overall and 0-3 in the CACC.

Harrison Warnock led the Eagles with 13 points and 14 doubles for his first double-double of the season. D.J. Frechette, Tyler Small and David Jasson each had 12, while Isaiah Holmes had ten points and nine rebounds.

The Eagles stormed out of the gate, taking a 15-8 lead, thanks to six points from Jasson who was a spark off the bench early on to set the tone.

From there, it was all Post, as the Eagles led by as much as 24 points at 40-16 at the 4:56 mark, which included 13 straight points as Holmes, Small and Frechette hit threes to give the Eagles the big advantage. Post went into the half leading 43-25.

Post went 7-for-11 (63.6 pct) from three in the first half, with Small hitting three of them.

The Eagles led by 24 again early on in the second half on Small's fourth three of the game to make it a 49-25 score. Alliance used a 10-0 run to cut the game to 49-35 on a layup from Isiah Murphy to cap it, but it'd be the closest they'd get as Post went back up by as much as 23 and were not threatened the rest of the way.

Post wreaked havoc on the boards 51-30 over Alliance. The Eagles had 20 offensive rebounds - ten from Warnock - leading to 24 second chance points. Post also forced 16 turnovers leading to 19 points.

Post has won the last three matchups against Alliance.

Up next, the Eagles will travel to Southern New Hampshire on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. in a rematch of a Nov. 13 game.
