Jasson’s 19 Off the Bench Lead Men’s Basketball Over Georgian Court

Lakewood, N.J. – The Post University men's basketball team hit 11 threes in an 83-59 win over Georgian Court on Saturday evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.

It is the second straight game the Eagles have hit 11 three-pointers.

David Jasson led the way with 19 points off the bench in just 17 minutes while Isaiah Holmes scored 18 and Abdul Basit-Ajia had 11.

After conceding the first four points of the game, the Eagles scored the next five, taking a 5-4 lead. After two brief ties, the Eagles would never relinquish the lead again as a jumper and three from Jasson put post up 12-7 at the 14:12 mark.

Post took a 19-11 lead after a three from Holmes, but an 8-1 rally from the Lions made it a 20-19 game.

The two teams remained close at 28-27 with 5:25 remaining, but a three-point play from Kyle Alcy followed by a jumper from Frechette put the Eagles up 33-27. They would take their biggest lead of the half with 34 seconds left after another three from Jasson. Post led 40-31 going into the half.

Post jumped out to a 14-3 run to begin the second half, fueled by Holmes, who scored nine points in the run. The Eagles never let the Lions get as close as 18 points the rest of the way, and led by as much as 29.

Alcy finished with eight points and six rebounds. Frechette finished with nine.

The Eagles (7-6, 2-2 CACC) 48.4 field goal percentage (30-for-62) was its third best of the season. Ajia went 5-for-6 from the field.
