New Haven, CT - The Post University football team lost a 44-7 game to Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon.

Broghean McGovern finished his day 6-for-19 with a touchdown and two interception for the Eagles.
The Owls hit two field goals in the first half, before scoring two touchdowns in the second. The first on a Tim O'Shea TD reception from Joe Benard from 19 yards and a one yard touchdown from Shawn Martin with 25 seconds left.
After the Owls kicked a field goal to start the third quarter, the Eagles got on the board with a 74 yard touchdown pass to
Taji Blizzard form McGovern, making it a 23-7 game.Â
The Owls added touchdowns in the fourth, scoring two touchdowns in 25 seconds, as after a touchdown run from Jordan Davis, the Eagles muffed the subsequent kickoff. One play later, Tylon Papallo scored a 20 yard touchdown, giving the Owls a 37-7 lead.
Blizzard led the Eagles in receiving yards with one catch for 74 yards.
Isaiah Rush had two catches for 60 yards.
Rodney Parker and
Ivory Parker each led the Eagles with 12 tackles.
Rodney Parker also added a sack.
Jadyn Fleeting had ten tackles.
Marc Reali went 11-for-24 for 154 yards and a TD for the Owls. Bernard was 7-for-12 with 71 yards and a TD. Anthony Ligi was the leading rusher for the Owls with 13 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles (0-9) wrap up their season with a home game against Assumptiton on November 12 at 1 p.m.
