Waterbury, CT - The Post University football team lost a 65-21 game to Assumption in its final game of the season on Saturday afternoon.
Broghean McGovern finished the day going 13-for-29 for 229 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.
Assumption scored the first two touchdowns on the day as Jake Cady found Quinn Sieger and Connor Milks for 78 and nine yard touchdowns, respectively.
At the six minute mark of the first, the Eagles cut their deficit in half as McGovern found
Jahmir Dixon for a 16 yard touchdown, but the Greyhounds returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown by Tre'Sean Bouie.
After a Cady 12 yard TD run, the Eagles ended the quarter with a 68 yard touchdown pass to
Robert Oliverio to make it a 26-14 game.
Assumption scored 18 points in the second quarter, taking a 44-14 lead at the break. The Greyhounds outscored the Eagles 21-0 in the third.
Post added one more touchdown in the fourth on a nine yard touchdown from McGovern.
