Glasrud Stops 47 Shots In Women's Hockey Loss To Saint Anselm

Terrazzano, Glasrud Make NEWHA Honor Roll

Shelton, CTGrace Glasrud stopped 47 shots, but the Post University women's hockey team lost a 4-2 New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) game to Saint Anselm on Tuesday evening.

Her 41 saves were the second most this season, including 15 in the final period.

Sheridan Terrazzano and Julia Wysocki had the goals for the Eagles.

With Post trailing 3-0 late in the second period, Madeleine Noonan sent a pass from one faceoff circle to the other and Terrazzano ripped a shot past Saint Anselm goaltender, Allie Kelley to make it a 3-1 game at the 19:41 mark. The goal was the fifth of the season for Terrazzano, which gives her the team lead. Kiersten Browning also had an assist on the goal.
Terrazzano has a point in three of the last four games.

Post (1-14, 1-9 NEWHA) trailed 4-1 at the 19:05 mark of the third when Caisey Van Den Oetelaar made a pass from the side of the net across to Wysocki who took a shot that was initially stopped by Kelley, then stuffed home the rebound for her first goal of the season – on a power play - making it a 4-2 game. Tymmarie Grom earned her first assist on the play as well.

The Hawks (11-9-1, 10-3-1 NEWHA) scored two in the first period, the first on a power play from Sydney Merritt. Natalie Tulchinsky added one more to make it a 2-0 game. Kelly Golini added a goal on a power play in the second and Tyra Turner added one more at the 16:16 mark of the third. Golini and Tulchinsky both added an assist on the day.

Up next, the Eagles play a weekend series at Franklin Pierce on Dec. 2 and 3. Both games will be at 2 p.m.

Terrazzano and Glasrud Honored

Terrazzano was named to the NEWHA Player of the Week Honor Roll after scoring a goal in a loss against Sacred Heat on Nov. 22 and had an assist in a loss to Syracuse on Nov. 26.

Glasrud had 35 saves against Syracuse and had a career-high 57 saves against Syracuse as she was named to the NEWHA Goaltender of the Week Honor Roll.
