Syracuse, N.Y. - The Post University women's hockey team lost a 10- game to Syracuse University on Friday afternoon in a non-conference match in the first game of their weekend series.
Post is now 1-11-0 overall, while Syracuse moves to 6-9-1.
Hannah Saunders finished with 54 saves on the evening, a career-high.
Syracuse scored five goals in the first period, including one from Madison Primeau, who scored two in the game. Sarah Thompson also scored a goal in the first. She finished with a hat trick, scoring a goal in every period.
The Orange scored three more in the second and two in the third.
Tristan Currie had a team-high six faceoff wins.
It was the first match between the two teams in progam history. They will meet again on Saturday at 2 p.m..
