Women’s Hockey Downed By RPI

Troy, N.Y. – The Post University women's ice hockey team lost a 9-0 game to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference road game.

The Eagles finished with eight shots on goal on the day with Kiersten Browning leading he way with two apiece.

The Engineers used a six-goal second period to put the game away, scoring four within five minutes of each other.

The tandem of Hannah Saunders and Grace Glasrud combined for 34 saves on the day.

Hannah Price led the Engineers with two goals. Ellie Kaiser had a goal and three assists for RPI (3-10-1). Eight different members of RPI scored a goal.

Post won 18 of the 51 faceoffs on the day, with Tristan Currie leading the way with seven.

Up next, the Eagles will host Sacred Heart at 1 p.m. in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance game on Nov. 22 at The Rinks at Shelton.
