Orangeburg, N.Y.– The Post University women's soccer team closed out its regular season with a 3-2 win over Dominican University on Tuesday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
With the win, the Eagles locked up the third seed in the upcoming CACC tournament after finishing the regular season 9-8-1 overall and 7-4-1 in the CACC.
They will take on 6
th seed Chestnut Hill in the quarterfinals of the CACC tournament on October 31 at 1 p.m. at LaMoy Field.
After giving up a goal in the tenth minute, the Eagles went on a scoring frenzy over the last 13 minutes of the first half.
Hailey McGee scored the first goal in the rally in the 32
nd minute, gathering a loose ball in the top of the box and rifling a shot over the head of Dominican goalkeeper Stella Patton to tie the game, 1-1. It was McGee's 12
th of the season, tying her for third in the CACC.

Hailey McGee took a free kick into the box that
Amber McGee headed home, to give the Eagles their first lead of the game. It was her second of the season.
Post capped their scoring in the half on the first goal of the season from
Faith Roy, who found a ball in the box, just in front of the net after a corner kick to give the Eagles the much-needed insurance goal.
The Chargers added a second goal in the 81
st minute, but were unable to get anything else by
Imelda Lazaro, who stopped eight shots on the day.
The third-place finish for the Eagles is their best finish in the CACC since 2015, when they also finished third.
