Waterbury, CT – The Post University women's soccer team lost a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match to in-state rival the University of Bridgeport on Tuesday afternoon at LaMoy Field.
It was the first matchup between the teams since Bridgeport joined the CACC.
Post is now 8-6-0 overall and 6-2-0 in the CACC while the Purple Knights are 8-3-3 overall and 7-0-2 in the CACC.
Imelda Lazaro had five saves for Post on the day.
Bridgeport got on the board on a goal from Morgan Dodge in the 33rd minute, followed by goals from Samantha St. Pierre in the 48th minute and Vivien Ruettgers in the 55th. Angelina LoFranco assisted on two goals on the day.
The Eagles had six shots on the day with Kaeleigh Serianni and Fitore Kllobocishta leading the way with three apiece.
Post gets back into action on Saturday, October 15 as they host Chestnut Hill for a noon start.
