Pleasantville, N.Y. – The Post University football team lost a 45-6 game to Pace University on Saturday afternoon in a road game.
Broghean McGovern went 20-for-42 passing for 214 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. His main target of the day was
Jermaine Tillery, who caught six passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. He also ran once for 27 yards, a team high.
Tillery's touchdown came in the fourth quarter at the 2:41 mark with the Eagles trailing 45-0 at the time. The Eagles capped a seven play, 26-yard drive with a ten-yard TD pass to Tillery.
Pace scored three touchdowns in the first quarter, including two from Carlton Aiken who scored both a receiving and rushing touchdown.
The Setters' (3-2) Nasir Robinson scored two touchdowns, one on a 25-yard run in the second quarter, and early in the third quarter on a 48-yard run.
Isaiah Rush had three catches for 33 yards, while
Robert Olivierio had four catches for 22 yards.
Paul Williams led the Eagles (0-5) with nine tackles and two sacks.
Regan Cherry had seven tackles.
The Eagles have a bye next weekend, but return to action on October 15, where they head on the road to the University of New Haven for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
