Post Men’s Hockey Falls To Saint Anselm

Shelton, Conn. – The Post University men's hockey team lost a 5-1 Northeast-10 game to Saint Anselm on Friday evening at The Rinks at Shelton.

The Loss puts the Eagles at 5-8-0 overall and 3-3-0 in the NE10, while the Hawks move to 5-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the NE10.

The Hawks scored the first three goals of the game, including the first of three goals for Andrew Andary.

The Eagles would get on the board at the 18:59 mark of the period on a power play goal from Jake Raleigh, who scored his fourth goal of the season to make it a 3-1 game. On the goal, Evan Lugo raced down the right side of the ice along the boards, slipped a pass between two defenders and Raleigh rifled it over the right shoulder of Saint Anselm goaltender Nick Howard.
It was the lone goal for the Eagles as Andary would score two more goals for the Hawks in the second period.


Drew Blodgett had 20 saves in net for the Eagles. John Krapian won 12 faceoffs to pace the Eagles.

The two teams will meet again at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 15.
