Brandon Brown had 30 saves, but the Eagles lost a tightly contested 1-0 game to SUNY Morrisville on Wednesday at The Rinks at Shelton.
The loss puts the Eagles at 5-7 on the season.
The Eagles were not short on scoring opportunities, logging 52 shots on goal, including 21 in the third period.
Jake Raleigh and
Trey DeLoury led the way with six shots on goal apiece, while
Kieran Gardner and
Connor Barter each had five.
The lone goal for the Mustangs (5-9-1) came at the 12:08 mark of the first period as Brett Tibbs took a pass from Trevor Neumann on a breakaway and scored on a one-timer.
Post won the faceoff battle on the day, winning 34 of 63.
Niko Grollman won 11 of those, while
Evan Lugo won ten.
The two teams combined to go 0-for-9 on power plays.
