Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University volleyball team opened day two of the Eagles Invitational with a 3-0 loss to the Bentley Falcons, Saturday morning in the Drubner Center.
THE RUNDOWN:
- Aniya Goodman paced the Eagles with six kills. Colleen Romero ended the contest with 11 assists to go with a team-high two aces. Nelly Diaz finished the game with a match-high 18 digs.
- Ingrid Murphey led all players with 14 kills for the Falcons, while teammate Rachel Vitko also ended in double-figures knocking down 10.
- Bentley came out strong in the first set, running up a quick 14-4 advantage. The Falcons continued to control the set, eventually cruising to a 25-13 win.
- The second set was much the same with Bentley taking a strong lead at the start of the set, never allowing the Eagles a chance to settle in.
- Post bounced back in the third set, battling Bentley for every point. The final set saw the score deadlocked on six occasions. With a slim 22-20 lead in the third set, the Falcons put the game away on two Murphy kills and an Eagle error.

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University volleyball team fell 3-0 in its final game of the Eagle Invitational to the University of New Haven Saturday night.
THE RUNDOWN:
- The Eagles were led by Madelynn Boop who ended the contest with 10 kills. Romero ended her night with a team-high 15 assists, while Soto finished with 13 digs.
- Emily Barry of New Haven led all players with 12 kills, while Macy Brownand Asiya Way both finished with 10. Sophia Leon-Tabor ended the night with 33 assists.
- Both teams traded points at the beginning of the opening set, before an 8-2 run handed the Chargers a 10-4 advantage. New Haven would not trail or relinquish control of the lead the rest of the set, winning 25-19.
- The Chargers carried that momentum into the second set, cruising to a quick 25-10 win.
- Post fell behind early in the third set, but eventually settled down, tying the contest at 6-6 by forcing a Charger error. The Eagles continued to challenge their opponent, capturing their first lead of the set at 16-15. After trading the lead down the stretch, New Haven took control for good at 22-21, taking home a 25-21 win.
