Baseball Drops A Pair Of Games To Chestnut Hill

North Wales, Pa. – The Post University baseball team dropped a pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games on Friday afternoon, 9-4 and 18-2.

The Eagles hit back-to-back home runs in the top of the fifth in game one, after falling behind 6-0 early on.

With two outs and no one on, Devon Ogston walked and was followed by a Brycin Hernandez home run to left field to make it a 6-2 game. It was the first home run of the season for Hernandez.

Harry Allegra followed that up with a solo home run, his third of the season to make it a 6-3 game.

The Griffins scored three more in the bottom of the sixth and the Eagles tacked on one more in the top of the seventh on an RBI single from Hernandez.

The Eagles had an opportunity in the top of the third as they loaded the bases with two outs, but were unable to get a run across.

Hernandez finished the game 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run.

Sam Barletta and Corbin Dunnuck each homered for the Griffins.

In game two, Hernandez hit a double in the top of the third for the only two runs in the game for the Eagles.

Hernandez went 2-for-3 in game two.

The Eagles pitching staff struck out nine batters on the day, with Eric Casagrande leading the way with five.

The Griffins scored five runs in the first and seven in the fourth to take control of the game. They hit three home runs in the game, including another by Dunnuck.

The Eagles will host USciences on Saturday, May 1 in a noon doubleheader as a part of Senior Day.
