Waterbury, Conn. – Devon Ogston went 3-for-4 with two RBI, and the Post University baseball team made a three-run rally early, but fell to Felician 13-4 in its opening Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game.
After falling behind 3-0 early, Rian Balbino and Evan Wilkinson both singled in the bottom of the second before Ogston doubled to drive both runners in to cut the deficit to 3-2. Brycin Hernandez then followed with a double to drive in Ogston to tie the game at 3-3.
Felician scored a run in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth to make it a 7-3 game. The Eagles rallied for one more run in the fifth on an RBI double by Shane Lindemuth to score Hernandez, who singled to lead off the inning.
However, the Golden Falcons tacked on three runs in the sixth and ninth innings to put the game out of reach.
Balbino finished the day going 2-for-4 with a run. Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a run and RBI.
On the mound, starter Jacob Tamburrino struck out three in 3.2 innings.
Alex Torres with 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs to pace Felician while Edwin Tavarez was 2-for-4 with three RBI.
