Boston, Mass. – The Post University men's hockey team lost in the finals of the 56th Annual Codfish Bowl, 7-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles are now 4-6 on the season.
Brandon Brown finished with a season-high 49 saves on the day.
The Beacons scored three goals in the first, one in the second and three more in the third. Nolan Barrett and Ethan Nitkin each had two goals for UMass-Boston with Nitkin scoring two in the first period.
Post had 21 shots in total with Tommy Buis and John Arciszewski leading the way with three apiece.
Niko Grollman led the way with 12 faceoff wins, while John Krapian won ten.
To kick off 2022, the Eagles will take on Albertus Magnus on the road for their second meeting of the season on January 4 at 4 p.m.
