Newark, Del. – The Post University women's volleyball team lost a 3-0 (19-25, 8-25, 22-25) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match to Wilmington on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles (8-19, 5-10 CACC) were led by Madelynn Boop, who had ten kills had 14 digs and Colleen Romero who had 24 assists.

Both teams played a tightly contested first set, splitting the first 24 points of the match as Boop had five kills during the stretch. However, the Wildcats went on an 8-3 run to take a 2015 lead. Post closed within four points on a kill from Lydimar Soto, but the Wildcats did not let the Eagles get any closer.

After the Eagles scored the first point of set two, the Wildcats scored the next nine points to take control of the set to go up 2-0.

In a tightly contested third set, the Eagles fell behind 12-7 before rallying to take a 17-16 lead, including a 5-0 run. The Wildcats took the lead back at 22-21 before a kill by Aniya Goodman tied the game again. However, the Wildcats (19-11, 13-3 CACC) would score the final three points to take the match.

Mandy Behiels had 11 kills and 12 digs for the Wildcats.

The Eagles will take on Caldwell at 7 p.m. on Monday Nov. 8 at the Drubner Center.
