Bloomfield, N.J.  – The Post University volleyball team lost 3-0 (12-25, 14-25, 19-25) to Bloomfield in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Tuesday evening.

Kaitlyn Sharkey led the Eagles with seven kills while Kim Buttery, Elizabeth McGrath and Jayda Roman each had two aces apiece.

Down two sets, the Eagles fight to take an 8-7 lead on back-to-back errors by the Bears. However, with the Eagles trailing 12-11, the Bears rattled off the next five points to take a 17-11 lead. Post closed the gap to 19-16 on two aces from Buttery and a kill from Roman, but the bears closed out on a 6-3 run to take the match.

Bloomfield jumped out to an 11-1 lead in the first set, and the Eagles never got closer than nine points the rest of the way as the Bears.

Set two started similar to the first, jumping out to 11-2 lead and would lead by as much as 14 points as they took a commanding two set lead.

Up next, the Eagles will go on the road to play Goldey-Beacom in a CACC match at 6 p.m. on Nov. 5.
