Shelton, Conn. – Hannah Luckman scored her first career goal for the Post University women's hockey team, but the Eagles fell, 5-1 to Sacred Heart University on Friday evening at The Rinks at Shelton.
Luckman's goal came with 2:46 remaining in the third period taking a rebound off a shot from Sheridan Terrazzano and stuffing it past Pioneers' goalkeeper Molly Elmore to make it a 5-1 game.
Kelly Solak led the way for the Pioneers with two goals and an assist. She scored the first goal of the game with 2:53 remaining in the first period and the final goal for Sacred Heart in the third, both on power plays.
Kaitlyn Daly turned away 52 shots in the game, the most she's had in a game since she matched that total in a game against Sacred Heart in January 2020.
Sadie Storm led the way with three shots for the Eagles.
Up next, the Eagles will take on Saint Michael's College in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) game on October 15 at 8 p.m.
